Rasmus: How would you rate the individual starters on the o-line halfway through the season?
Boland: wow, real quick off the top of my head. Ferguson has been solid but not incredible, faneca was a slight disappointment until sunday when he just cleared massive amounts of space, mangold is going to make a pro bowl sooner rather than later, and both moore and woody haven't been as much as a weak spot on the right as many thought they would be. overall, i'd give the unit a B-, though maybe sunday's game - by far the unit's most complete this season - was the start of some really good things
Bundgaard: Will Brad Smith ever develop into anything other than a player you ask to run reverses and end arounds?
Boland: i swear, swear, swear that smith was among the more impressive receivers of training camp this year. but that was prior to favre coming in. i think so much attention has been paid to - and please PLEASE excuse this cliche - getting favre on the same page (yeccchttt) with coles and cotchery, smith has been ignored somewhat. but the oakland game was encouraging, about the only encouraging thing to come out of that trip

Jeg mener, at Chads skifte var positivt for alle parter. Chad havde brug for at komme tit et nyt sted, hvor han kunne få en frisk start. Vi havde brug for en tydelig lederskikkelse, der kunne stå i spidsen for det ny vind-nu-look-Jets. Hvis Chad var så genial, så ville han have givet Clemmens tydeligt baghjul - det vurderede Jets sidste år (og formentlig i pre-season også), at han ikke en gang kunne. Men det er alfa-omega for eftermæglet af Chads release, at Favre tager endnu en sæson hos Jets.
Det er ikke usandsynligt, at Jets vælger en QB med et højt pick næste draft - nu da Ainge heller ikke just har funklet. Favre kan lave samme stunt som i GB, hvor han trækker en afgørelse ud.
Bemærk i øvrigt, at der er dømt "ball-hawk down", da Lowery blev bænket i anden halvleg til fordel for Barrett. Hvis Miller er frisk nu, så får han formentlig ikke bedre chancer for at erobre en start-plads.At 5. nov. 2008, 12.09.00,
