- Last season it was Cotchery but who do you think will have a break out year this season?
I was totally caught by surprise on Cotchery's sudden success, but I think the Jets won't have a scenario similar to Cotchery's in 2007 as there are so few real changes in starting personnel. I do think that Kenyon Coleman will be a big improvement from Kimo von Oelhoffen (which isn't saying a lot), and I think that Stacy Tutt will see action in the offense as an H-Back (hybrid Tight End). Statistically, I don't know if either will be comparable to Jerricho's performance in 2006 though. I do think that David Harris can be a very special player in this system, and by the end of the season could be a real threat against the run.

- What is the weakness (or weaknesses) of the '07 Jets?
Kendall's absence will hurt the Jets' running game, but the issues with the offensive line can be worked out. Dewayne Robertson did play well down the stretch and I know the Jets acquired a number of players in the offseason to play defensive line and linebacker, but until I see the improvement stopping the run, this will be the Achilles' Heel of this team.

- How do you think the Pete Kendall situation will work out?
If he's gone, Will the Jets miss him?

Rumor is that he won't show up at training camp, but if the guy came to the mandatory camp in June, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Hempstead on Friday. Long-term, I think the Jets want to trade him, but it might be tough to find a trading partner. Eventually, I think they will be forced to release him, but they will keep him on the roster as long as they can.

Initially, losing Pete Kendall will be an issue mostly because he's a good Guard, and Guards are the least athletic guys on the football field ... his presence at Guard is a positive thing versus a neutral or negative thing. I do think that whoever replaces him will be fine, but it's not moving the team forward.

- What do you expect of the Jets in the '07 season?
I expect that the Jets will be close to the playoffs. The first two weeks (New England, @ Baltimore) are going to be brutal for the Jets, but if they can manage one win there, I think they have a real shot at the playoffs. Also they do have a long stretch at the end of the season where they play many away games, but there are many winnable games. I will be surprises if the Jets go 10-6, as I think they will likely fall in the 8-8 or 9-7 range.

    Thanks for the answers Brian!

I agree with you all the way... how boring is that? :-(

I find it hard to find a player with break-out-year-potential as well.

Perhaps Justin Miller can crank it up a notch now that Revis is on board? (not that I really believe that). I also hope to see more of Brad Smith.

...And lets hope that some of those low risk - high reward guys (Andre Wadsworth, Michael Haynes...) pan out.

great minds think alike! This is Justin Miller's year to determine if he can be more than just a nickel corner.

I think there is a real danger of the Jets going 0-2. The pats are always tough, and McGahee has always been a jetskiller.

I really do hope Miller has a break-out year.
