Der er stadig ikke rigtig noget at berette fra Jets-lejren, men på NFL.com fandt jeg denne artikel af Pat Kirwan. Den handler ikke specifikt om Jets, men om hvor svært det er at være ny Head Coach i NFL... måske fordi de fleste nye HCs overtager hold der er kørt helt af sporet?Nå, men Kirwan har dog et par pointer eller tre, som f.eks.:
"...the 10 new head coaches this season have their works cut out for them and expectations are high. If these coaches are going to be successful, they need the time to build their teams the right way. No one should hit the panic button if they lose in 2006, because history shows most of them will lose. And history also shows that losing in your opening season is not an indication that the club is headed in the wrong direction".
Og som Jetsfan kan man kun glæde sig over fortsættelsen:
"The 50 opening seasons that were reviewed indicate that the new coaches will average seven wins this season and they also suggest that building from the ground up and taking your lumps early may be the best way to develop winners".
