"This is what happens to a coach with an injury-riddled offense that has scored only one touchdown in four games. Things are so bad for the Jets that the offense might be asked to present a passport the next time it crosses the goal line".

The Jets have scored one touchdown in Bollinger's five starts, and Edwards said he was happy when a drive ended with a punt.
"At least they're not turning the ball over," Edwards said.

"Walking out of a news conference for only the second time in his five seasons as the Jets' head coach, Edwards let the hopelessness of this season get the best of him yesterday".

Edwards gave other indications he was not a happy camper. In response to the Jets' situation giving them a chance to open things up on offense: "That gives you the best chance of getting blown out in a game, trying to play that way, go out there and run double reverses, trick plays. We're not some circus team. This is not a circus. We're trying to win a game the best way we know how as coaches. Maybe we're all dumb coaches. That's fine. We're dumb coaches. I'll be a dumb coach this season."
The Star-Ledger:
"I've lost both my quarterbacks (in the same game). That has never happened in the history of the NFL. What do people want me to do? You guys (the media) see this team play every week. We have 10 guys on injured reserve. Guys are doing the best they can."
